Privacy Policy

At AI Reverse Image Search ("we," "us," or "our"), we take privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use aireverseimagesearch.com and our AI-powered image tools, AI Reverse Image Search, Duplicate Photo Finder, Similar Image Finder, Image Size Finder, EXIF Data Viewer, Edit EXIF Data, and Remove EXIF Data, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By using our services, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site.

1. How We Handle Your Images

Uploaded images. When you upload a photo to search, we store it temporarily on secure servers only for as long as it takes to process your search and return results, after which it is automatically and permanently deleted. We do not index your uploads, make them searchable by others, or use them to train our underlying AI models.

URL-based searches. If you paste an image URL instead of uploading a file, we fetch that image temporarily to run the search, then discard it immediately afterward. We never take permanent possession of the image; it continues to live only at the source URL you provided.

EXIF tools. When you use our EXIF Data Viewer, Editor, or Remover, the metadata processing happens transiently to generate your result (the viewed data, the edited file, or the stripped-metadata file). We do not retain the original file or its metadata once your result has been delivered.

Local caching. To speed things up if you revisit a recent search, some results may be cached in your browser's local storage for a short period. This stays on your device — it is never transmitted to us.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

  • Images or image URLs you submit for search or processing
  • Your email address and message content, if you contact support or submit feedback

Information collected automatically:

  • IP address (used in anonymized or aggregated form where possible)
  • Browser type, device type, and operating system
  • Pages visited, referral source, and general usage/search statistics
  • Approximate geographic location (country/city level, derived from IP)

We use this information to operate, secure, and improve the service — not to build a profile that identifies you personally.

3. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and comparable technologies for three purposes: keeping the site functional, understanding how it's used, and — because this service is free and ad-supported — showing relevant advertising.

Essential cookies. Required for basic site functionality, such as remembering your language, theme, or cookie-consent choice. These can't be disabled without affecting how the site works.

Analytics cookies. We use Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) to understand traffic patterns, popular features, and technical issues — things like pages visited, session length, referral source, and device/browser type. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Advertising cookies. We display ads through Google AdSense and/or similar ad-network partners to keep this service free. These partners may use first- and third-party cookies to serve ads based on your visit to this and other sites. This can include data such as IP address, device and browser type, and general location. You can:

Declining cookies won't stop you from seeing ads — you'll simply see non-personalized ones instead. Most browsers let you block or clear cookies through their settings; doing so may limit some site functionality.

4. Third-Party Services

We rely on a small number of providers to run the service:

  • Hosting and infrastructure providers, who store and serve the application and process images transiently as described in Section 1.
  • Google Analytics, for the usage analytics described above.
  • Google AdSense / Advertising partners, for the ad personalization described above.
  • Cloudflare or a similar CDN/security provider, for performance and protection against abuse (may log IP addresses and request metadata).

These providers only receive the data necessary to perform their function and are bound by their own privacy commitments and, where applicable, contractual obligations to us.

5. We Do Not Sell Your Personal Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for money or other valuable consideration, and we never have. Serving advertising through ad-network partners involves those partners setting cookies for personalization — that is standard advertising practice, not a "sale" of data under laws like the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including:

  • HTTPS/TLS encryption for data in transit
  • Encrypted storage at rest via our cloud infrastructure provider
  • Access controls limiting who can reach production systems
  • Rate limiting and bot protection to prevent abuse

No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute protection against every possible threat — but we design our processes to minimize what we hold and how long we hold it.

7. International Data Transfers

Because our infrastructure may be located in different countries than you are, your information — including images processed temporarily — may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions with different data protection laws than your own. By using our service, you consent to that transfer.

8. Data Retention

We keep data only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected:

  • Uploaded images and URL-fetched images: we don't store any uploaded or URL-fetched images; they are deleted automatically after the result processing
  • Usage/analytics data: retained in aggregate for service improvement, generally without directly identifying you
  • Contact/support messages: kept only as long as needed to resolve your inquiry, unless we're legally required to keep them longer

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we hold about you
  • Request access to, correction of, or deletion of that information
  • Opt out of analytics tracking and personalized advertising
  • Object to certain processing of your data
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We'll respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

10. Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required by your local law), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices, our tools, or legal requirements. Material changes will be posted here with an updated "Last updated" date; continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
